2007 sees Matthew Bourne celebrating 20 years as Artistic Director of his own independent dance company. The Carr Man boasts another spectacular production from the UK’s most popular dance/theater company.

Set in a familiar 19th Century Spanish cigarette factory becomes a greasy garage-diner in 1960’s America, where dreams and passions of a small-town are shattered by the arrival of a handsome stranger. Mathew Bourne’s vivid choreography and ability to tell a story takes in a wealth of cinematic references, creating a dangerous and uncompromising vision of small town America.

The Car Man which will tour throughout the UK from June 19th, playing a four week season at Sadler’s Wells from July 10th.
