Save money by

Staying in Halls

One of the top reasons that have always put students off going to university is the thought of financial hardship. However, long gone are the days of the crusty student and his tins of beans! If you take on the lifestyle and make the necessary cuts then yes, you too can thrive…

Now, we’re not saying that you will be living the P.Diddy lifestyle. However, if you make the necessary cuts you can certainly adopt his work hard play/hard mentality and enjoy all aspects of uni’ life. Therefore, it is very important that you take full advantage of the opportunities available to help you save money like staying in Halls of Residence in your first year

Believe it or not, even though the rent may be a little higher, living in halls on campus can be one of the cheapest ways to live, particularly if you are adjusting to a new country and culture and working out the expense of certain necessary items. Not only will you be cutting out a major bill on travel you will also only have to worry about one bill to pay. Most, if not all universities in the UK, provide international students with on-campus accommodation so do take full advantage of this.  Living in a student house will meant that you will have to pay for water rates, electricity bills, gas bills, phone bills, cleaning equipment etc on top of your rent. It’s amazing how it all adds up. So, as soon as you get accepted into a university or college that you are happy with make sure you apply quickly for a place in halls as the rooms are often allocated on a first come first served basis and therefore go very quick so act quickly
