Hands up if you want to teach!

Interested?

Then why not enrol on one of our PGCE courses in Secondary Teaching?

The School of Education provides full-time and flexible courses in:

Business Education

Design and Technology

Information and Communication Technology

Mathematics

Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish, German, French)

Science

Work placements within Secondary Schools are part of the course, so prior work experience is not essential. If you do have experience however, it may help you to qualify more quickly on the flexible PGCE.

Alternatively, you may be suitable for our PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education. Available in a wide range of subjects, this full-time one-year course confers qualified teacher status for the post-compulsory sector.

To apply to either course you must have a good degree in a relevant subject, plus GCSE English and maths at grade C or above (or equivalent). Equivalence tests may be available to applicants without the required GCSE qualifications.
